Player guide
Everything a new player needs to know about L2 Obsidian, in a few minutes. All times are Greek time.
Getting started
- Create your accountLog in to the game with any new login and password and the account is created for you. Or create it on this website with your email, so you can reset your password if you ever forget it.
- Download the client and our patchA clean Interlude client plus our system folder. Everything is on the Download page.
- Start in GiranNew characters start in Giran with 50kk adena.
- Gear up at the GM ShopWeapons, armor and jewels from D up to S grade, paid with adena. D, C and B grade cost 90% less than retail, A and S grade 60% less.
- Level upThe Level Up Zone next to the gatekeeper gives fast experience with adena-only drops.
- Find a clanJoin our Discord: clans are recruiting in #clan-recruitment and you can post in #looking-for-clan.
Coins & shops
- Adena – the main currency. Buy your gear and supplies at the GM Shop.
- Farm Coins – farm zones are the only place they drop. You also get them as free pre-registration and refer-a-friend rewards.
- Vote Coins – vote every day at the Vote Manager in Giran.
- Donate Coins – from the Donate page. They never drop in the game.
PvP Zone
- The Random PvP Zone moves to a new place every hour. Use the gatekeeper to go there.
- Everyone inside is flagged – any player can attack you and you can attack anyone.
- Your title shows your kills and deaths inside the zone.
- When the zone changes, everyone inside is moved to the new zone automatically.
- To leave, use a Scroll of Escape or go back to the village.
Epic bosses
- Free entry to Antharas, Baium and Valakas – no Portal Stone, Bloody Fabric or Floating Stone needed.
- Talk to Heart of Warding (Antharas), Angelic Vortex (Baium) or Watcher of Valakas Klein (Valakas), press OK and you are teleported inside after a 5-second countdown.
- Entry is open as long as the boss is alive – even while others are already fighting it. Bring your clan: it's PvP.
- When the boss is dead, the entrance is closed until it respawns.
- The gatekeeper's Epic Bosses page also takes you straight to Queen Ant, Core, Orfen, Zaken and Frintezza.
Olympiad & Heroes
- Olympiad matches every day from 18:00 to 00:00.
- New Heroes every 2 weeks, on Sunday at 00:00.
- Every Noblesse who takes part gets Olympiad tokens as a reward.
Daily events
- 17:00 – Team vs Team: two teams, the team with the most kills wins.
- 18:00 – Capture the Flag: steal the enemy flag and bring it to your base.
- 19:00 – Deathmatch: everyone against everyone.
- Registration is open for 5 minutes when the event is announced. At least 2 players are needed.

FAQ
Is my game account the same as my website account?
Yes. You use the same login and password in the game and on this website (Donate page, rewards).
I forgot my password. What can I do?
If your account has an email, you can reset it from this website. If not, ask a GM in #help on our Discord.
Will the server be wiped?
No. L2 Obsidian is a no-wipe server: your characters, items and progress stay. We build it to last.
What time zone does the server use?
Greek time (Europe/Athens). Events, Olympiad and Heroes all follow it.
How do I get the pre-registration reward?
Pre-register before the opening. After the server opens, log in on this website, pick your character and press Claim reward. It's free.
Where do I report a bug?
In #bug-reports on our Discord, or tell a GM in game. Please say what happened, where and when.

You need a clean Interlude client and our patch (system folder).
Server patch
Extract the patch into your client folder and replace the system folder when asked.
DownloadPlay
Start l2.exe from the system folder and log in.

Prices are in Donate Coins and may change.
- Donate Coins are a virtual item that can only be used inside L2 Obsidian. They have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside the game.
- Coins are delivered to the character you choose right after the payment is confirmed (within a minute, or on your next login).
- Because the content is delivered immediately, by completing the payment you agree to immediate delivery and accept that the purchase cannot be refunded once the coins are delivered.
- Accounts involved in a chargeback or payment dispute are suspended until the case is resolved.
- Items and prices in the in-game shop may change. Problems with an order? Contact a GM in game with your order code.
